Youth in Free Initiative association Structure




The General Assembly

General Assembly is made by all the members of the association with the right to elect and be elected. The General Assembly elects the Leading Board and the Executive Director. It is made of NGO making (governing) body of the NGO, Executive Board and Youth Center.
It also analyses the progress of the work done by the Leading board. The Assembly takes decisions and sets rules about the proper functioning of the association. The Assembly decides about economic and financial issues of the association, approves annual budget and expenditures. Currently the Assembly has 130 members. Young people have to apply for the membership through the application form approved by the General Assemble.

The Leading Board

It is made of 7 members elected by General Assembly. It is the principal executive body of the association. The Leading Board is elected regularly once a year. It prepares the progressive reports for the General assembly, make proposals and plan activities; approves the regulations and manuals of the revenue and expenses; approve the annual expenditures, the budget and the foreseen expenditures for the next coming year. The Board regularly meetings at least two times per year, to analyze its work and the work done of Executive Director. 

The Executive Director

He is responsible for the daily management of the NGO. He conducts the following operation duties:
1) Hiring, firing, and supervising the staff;
2) Managing and evaluating of projects and operations;
3) Identification, acquiring, and management of NGO resources;
4) Preparation of annual budget and report;
5) Proposes policies and strategic initiatives to the Executive Board;
6) Communication with all stakeholders;
7) Promotion of the organization in the community;
8) Signature of all documents, agreements and contracts on behalf of the NGO;
9) Participation without the right of vote, and reporting in the meetings of the executive board;
10) Monitoring and evaluation of projects and programs.

Youth center

Youth Center is established on 2005, under the Youth in Free Initiative association, as a product of the project supported by Olof Palme International Center Sweden. From 2009, Youth Center operates as independent branch of the association. Youth in Free Initiative is the umbrella of the Youth center, while both are depended on the General Assembly. Youth Center is offerinc different services for young people and serving as a meeting point. This Center is leaded and managed by the Volunteers of YFI association.

Voluntary club

Voluntary club is the department within the Youth Center, which has the role to maintain the center, facilitate the services of the Youth Center and organize activities within the center. Youth Club is composed by 10 – 15 young people, selected on the voluntary bases, having the membership status at least six month in advance of their engagement with the Voluntary Club.
