EVS Volunteer project, September 2014 January 2015

Hello, this is Misi. I am from Hungary and I have been working as an EVS volunteer for the Center for Youth Progress in Kukes. Since September 2014 I take part in the Erasmus + program, and spend 5 months in Albania.
As a volunteer I worked in the local community, mainly with youngsters. Twice a week I practiced physical activities in a primary school. During this time we played different sport games, and do exercises as well. Every Friday I went to one of the local kindergarten and made similar training with children, with help of the kindergarten teachers. Once a week I also worked with handicapped children in the Social Service Center. In that place we played and organized exercises, too. My tasks were in this field to improve the children’s abilities and to endear the sport and the physical activities.
Moreover I have taught German as a foreign language for three groups of students. The participants were mixed. In the courses has get involved the university, high school and primary school students, even as adults.
According to my EVS project I organized a workshop about Fair Play. Although the idea of the Fair Play comes from the sport, we cannot ignore the influence to the everyday life. The participants were local youngsters, who had the opportunity to learn about the topic through non-formal education.
On the other hands during these 5 months I have had the opportunity to learn as well about the culture, the Albanian language and to manage my own work.
Thank you and see you soon :)
